Box Score HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's lacrosse team, ranked 19^th in the nation, handled the Cobras of Coker College tonight, picking up a 16-5 win. The Royals improve to 6-2 in the South Atlantic Conference and 9-5 on the year with the victory, while Coker falls to 3-4 in the league and 4-10 on the year.
 
Queens dominated from the start only allowing Coker to score one goal in the opening period following back-to-back scores from the Royals. Queens then found the back of the net two more times before heading into the second quarter where they scored four unanswered goals to lead 8-1 at the half. Garrett Chan led the Royals with four goals at the half.
 
The Cobras opened the second half with a goal at 12:26, but Queens continued to have the hot hand on the offensive end putting five consecutive goals on the board to answer. They would take a 13-2 advantage into the final 15 minute period.
 
Jesse Oliver would extend Queens' run to six straight goals after scoring the first of the fourth at 14:19, but the Cobras soon responded with a pair to end the Royals' push. Queens would match the two points with a pair of their own to extend their lead back out to 12 before Coker got the last goal of the night with 2:42 on the clock to give the game its final score of 16-5.
 
The Royals outshot Coker 44-33, and won 15-of-22 face-offs with Jonathan Paige taking 12. Eric Dolan took the win in goal after totaling nine saves.
 
Chan finished with five goals and three assists to lead Queens with eight points. Oliver totaled three goals and one assist, while Garrett Sadler also recorded a hat trick. Spencer Corkery chipped in with two goals.
 
Shane Wilson tallied three goals to lead Coker. Anthony Malik took the loss in net after registering nine saves.
 
The Royals are in action again on April 20 at the University of Mount Olive, ranked seventh in the nation, at 4 p.m.
