Box Score CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Queens University of Charlotte's men's lacrosse team (6-2) collected an 11-5 South Atlantic Conference win over Mars Hill University this afternoon to improve to 3-0 in the league. The Lions fall to 0-2 in the SAC and 0-6 on the year with the loss.
The Royals were led by
Gavin Perry,
Garrett Sadler and
Spencer Corkery in today's win as all three players recorded hat tricks.
Garrett Chan added one goal and one assist, and now has the most points in Queens history holding a total of 181.
Nick Carlson added one goal as well.
Trailing 2-1 early, Queens would put together a four goal run that stretched over the first and second periods to take a 5-3 lead heading into the halftime break. The Royals then increased their lead to seven, 10-3, scoring five goals in a row in the third quarter to secure the win.
Queens outshot Mars Hill, 44-18, putting 26 shots on goal.
Eric Dolan took the win in net after totaling five saves, while Ryan Kearney of the Lions recorded 15 saves.
The Lions had all five goals scored by five different individuals today. Josh Bryers totaled one goal and two assists.
The Royals will be on the road for the next game on Saturday, March 19 when they travel to face Brevard College at 1 p.m.
