Box Score BELMONT, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's lacrosse team traveled to compete against Belmont Abbey College this afternoon falling 15-11 to the Crusaders in the non-conference game. The loss gives the Royals a 7-7 overall record as the Crusaders improve to 7-4 on the year.

Andrew Titus each scored two goals to lead the Royals in the loss.
Jonathan Paige totaled 16 ground balls to lead all on the field after winning 17-of-23 face-offs.
Back-to-back goals with less than five minutes to play in the opening quarter gave the Royals a 3-2 lead until the Crusaders closed the quarter with a pair of goals to take a 4-3 advantage. Belmont Abbey then scored four unanswered goals in the second quarter to increase their lead to five, 8-3, with 4:23 to play. A goal with 2:22 left in the half from Queens' Titus would give the game an 8-4 score at the break.
The Royals had their work cut out for them in the third as they tried to dig their way out of the hole, but they were only able to come up with two goals as the Crusaders put three additional points on the board to hold an 11-6 lead heading into the final period.
Queens opened the final 15 minutes of action with three consecutive goals cutting Belmont Abbey's lead to just two, 11-9. Unfortunately for the Royals, the Crusaders found a way to match Queens' run and pull ahead by five, 14-9, with 5:56 left in regulation. The Crusaders then held the Royals to just two more goals before the final horn sounded to take the win.
Though the Crusaders edged Queens in shots, 29-26, both teams put 24 shots on goal. Additionally, Queens totaled 27 ground balls to Belmont Abbey's 21. Goalkeeper

Connor Sellars led the Crusaders today with four goals, while Jason Hollister added a hat trick. Harley Whitham totaled 13 saves in the win.
The Royals are on the road on Saturday at Tusculum College. The game against the Pioneers will begin at 3 p.m.
