Box Score CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer team picked up a 5-1 Senior Day win over Coker College (3-9-1, 3-7) this afternoon to improve to 8-7 on the year and 6-4 in South Atlantic Conference play.
 
After notching one goal in the opening 14 seconds of play, Queens would go scoreless for the next 59 minutes of action before putting four consecutive goals on the board.
 
Marc-Kevin Schwenk would score the lone goal of the first half drilling the ball off the post and into the net from about 30 yards out.
 
Coker knotting things up at 1-1 in the second with a goal in the 46^th minute from Ian Fellenz before the Royals went on a 4-0 run to close things out. Corey Brown first netted an unassisted goal in the 61^st to put Queens ahead 2-1 before a goal from Austin Huddy in the 67^th gave the home team a 3-1 lead. Huddy found the back of the net with a header off of a corner from Schwenk.
 
In the 78^th, Michael Valenzuela scored a goal tapping the ball into the net with Coker's keeper displaced after he attempted to intercept a cross from Brown. Brown was awarded the assist on the play. Queens' final goal would come from Celes Vilar in the 83^rd with Schwenk on the passing end as well. Both Valenzuela's and Vilar's goals were the first of the season for the pair.
 
Queens outshot the Cobras 19-6, placing six shots on frame. Matt Current took the win in goal for Queens, while Tyler Byrd totaled one save in the loss for Coker.
 
Queens celebrated its seniors today recognizing players Michael Valenzuela and Eric Liebl at the half.
 
The Royals will be back in action on October 31 when they travel to take on Brevard College to close the regular season. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
