Box Score Charlotte, N.C. -  Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball (4-10, 2-7 SAC) was unable to overcome the #6 Southeast Regionally ranked Wingate University (10-6, 8-1 SAC) falling at home 67-50 on Wednesday, January 14, 2015. 
McKell Oliverio led the Royals pushing for a new career high with her 22 points in the game.
In what started as an evenly paced game, 
Lacey Singletary opened up the offense with back-to-back layups before Oliverio hit one from long range giving the team their first lead of the night. As the two teams mirrored, Oliverio found another three-pointer putting Queens in front 12-10. It was an 8-0 run, however, that gave the Bulldogs their distance placing them in control with 7:35 remaining in the half. Unable to regain their starting momentum, Wingate walked into half with a 40-25 lead.
With the second half start, Queens found a response in Singletary and Oliverio who found early baskets to bring the team to a 46-32 score but another run would widen the gap for the Royals. The 12-2 run by Wingate would supply them with their largest lead of the game as Queens fought to make up ground. 
Erin Brundage stepped up to make two baskets in the paint right before Singletary was sent to the line twice making three free-throws. Oliverio found one last three-pointer to break her career high in points but the clock would sound with the Royals dropping 67-50.
Singletary reached double-digits for the game knocking down 16 points. Oliverio ended the night making four three-pointers out of her six attempts. She also took two steals for the team tying 
Karleasha Thompson.
Chantal Dunbar garnered a double-double for the Bulldogs scooping 10 rebounds to add with 13 points. Kelli Bonner and Shelby Tricoli added to the Wingate scoreboard with Bonner grabbing 12 points and Tricoli 11 points.
Queens travels this weekend to take on Lincoln Memorial (8-7, 5-4 SAC) in a 2 p.m. match-up on Saturday, January 17.
