Box Score HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer team suffered a tough loss tonight at the hands of Coker College, falling 5-1 to the Cobras. The Royals now sit at 2-6 on the year and 2-2 in South Atlantic Conference play, while the Cobras are now 2-4 on the year and 2-2 in the league.
After Chris Martin of Coker scored a goal just 17 seconds into play, Queens'
Philip Makhlouf tied the game with a goal in the ninth minute of action.
Marc-Kevin Schwenk recorded the assist on the play. The Cobras would then put two more in the net before the end of the half to head into the break leading 3-1.
Martin of Coker scored his third goal of the game in the 60
th minute to give his team a 4-1 advantage before Jordan Snell found the back of the net in the 75
th to give the game its final score.
Montrell Morgan finished play with four saves in goal, while Kyndle Cobb of Coker totaled three saves.
Queens will host Clayton State University at Dickson Field on Friday, October 3 at 7:30 p.m.
