ATLANTA, GA. — After making an immediate impact offensively for the Royals over the last two weeks, Queens men's soccer's Luis Vera Mayorca has been named the ASUN Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

Vera Mayorca recorded one goal and two points in Queens' home match against Wofford over the weekend, helping the Royals earn a result against the Terriers. The honor comes after a standout performance the week prior, when Vera Mayorca scored the first goal of his collegiate career in Queens' matchup against then-No. 2 NC State.

The goal against the Wolfpack marked a significant moment for Vera Mayorca and the Royals, and he has continued that momentum into the following week. With two goals on the season, Vera Mayorca currently leads Queens offensively.

The Royals are back in action against Lipscomb to start ASUN play on the road Saturday, Sept. 5.
