Box Score CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Queens University of Charlotte (3-3) hosted Dominican University of California (2-0) this evening at Dickson field in men's lacrosse action falling 13-10 to the Penguins.

Attacker
Casey Hock led the Royals with five points after scoring four goals and notching one assist. Attacker
Garrett Chan followed Hock recording a hat trick.
Matthew Michael tallied four points with one goal and four assists, while
Evan Farkas scored two goals. Erick Dolan took the loss in goal after getting 10 stops.

Following a goal from the Penguins at 13:23, Queens put two in the goal to lead 2-1 with 5:47 left in the period. However, the Penguins would tie things up at 2-2 before the break with a goal from Jake Bernstein at 4:04.

Dominican reclaimed the lead for a short time on a goal from Jack Beal with 11:37 on the clock in the second, but Hock of Queens would equalize things once again with a goal at 10:12 making the score 3-3. The two teams would trade goals over the next few minutes before the Penguins found two in a row to go ahead 6-4 with 2:28 left in the half. Michael of Queens would respond quickly for the Royals finding the back of the net four seconds later to bring Queens within one of Dominican, 6-5, heading into the locker room.
Kenneth Stryker earned the assist on the goal after winning the face-off just before the score.

The Penguins opened things up in the third quarter with three unanswered goals in the latter part of the quarter. With 4:28 on the clock, Dominican held an11-7 lead. Farkas would zip one into the net before the end of the quarter cutting the Penguins' lead to three, 11-8.

Despite holding the Penguins to just two goals in the fourth, the Royals would come up short on their comeback efforts due in large part to not capitalizing on a number of man-up opportunities.

The Royals outshot Dominican 38-33 and won the battle for ground balls 25-20. Queens was only able to capitalize on 3-of-10 extra-man opportunities tonight.

Cody and Jake Bernstein led the Penguins with three goals each, while Beall added two. Sean Donohue took the win in the cage after totaling 10 saves.

The Royals are back in action on March 15 against Mercyhurst College in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
