The Royals fell 3-1 in game one before fighting their way back into game two and falling 7-6.

Robyn Levine.
Kaitlyn Bodine and
Jasmyn Lindsay led the Royals in RBIs tallying two apiece.
In game one, the Royals' lone run was scored by Rosenbalm in the bottom of the first inning. After singling to through to the right side, Rosenbalm advanced to second after Lindsay was grounded out to LMU's short stop. She then stole third and capitalized on an error by the Railsplitters' second baseman to score her run.
LMU's Meredith Johnson quickly tied things up at the top of the second sending one over the fence at centerfield to get her team on the board. Another homerun from the Railsplitters' Kirstin Toole put LMU ahead 3-1 in the fourth.
Samantha Smith of LMU took the win pitching all seven innings, and totaling seven strikeouts. Bodine pitched all seven innings for Queens, totaling two strikeouts. She now sits at 3-3 on the season.

The Railsplitters once again had an answer from Johnson in the top of third as she batted in Brianna Mulkey to knot the game at 2-2. LMU then loaded the bases just before Danae Reed entered the game as a pinch hitter for Laura Taricano. Reed then hit a grand slam giving the Railsplitters a 6-2 lead.
An error in the bottom of the third would allow the Royals to begin chipping away at LMU's lead as
Emily Poulton scored an unearned run to make the score 6-3. Then Queens would come up unlucky in the next two innings as LMU stretched their lead out to four, 7-3.
The Royals would come alive in the bottom of the sixth at the bat of
Whitney Britt. With two on base, Britt singled to center field before advancing to second on a throw. Levine scored on the play to bring Queens within three, 7-4. Bodine then doubled to centerfield bringing two runners in to make the score 7-6. Unable to get a hit off in the bottom of the seventh, the Royals comeback fell just short.
Smith took the win for LMU pitching six innings and totaling three strikeouts. Queens'
Lyndey McCurry took the loss bringing her record to 6-4 on the season.
The Royals will be back at home on Tuesday hosting Wingate University at 2 and 4 p.m.
