Taking on the Crusaders of Belmont Abbey the Royals were able to pick up two crucial wins, and take another step towards the conference playoffs.

Game one

In the first game the Royals offense showed that it is one of the top units in the conference with an eleven hit six run performance. Queens showed its consistency with runs crossing the plate in four innings, highlighted by a three run seventh to give the Royals a 6-2 win.

Tallying two hits apiece for the potent offense were Whitney Britt (Gibson, N.C., Scotland),  Kaitlyn Cheek (Richmond, Va., JR Tucker ),  Robyn Levine (Raleigh, N.C., Enloe), and Samantha Martinez (Bordentown, New Jersey, Bordentown Regional High School).  While Ashley Rollins (Fairfax, Va., Fairfax) pitched a complete game from the circle, and only gave up four hits and one earned run.

Game two

The second game of the doubleheader was a much closer affair with the Royals being forced to play catch up following a four run Crusader third. Down 4-3 in the seventh the Royals were able to bring in two runs on Cheek and Amanda Meade (Bristow, Va., Osbourn Park) singles to give them a 5-4 victory.
