CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's soccer team will be taking on Anderson University tomorrow in the 2013 Food Lion SAC Men's Soccer Championship after defeating Lincoln Memorial 4-1 on Friday to advance. The Trojans defeated Mars Hill, 1-0, to advance.
The Royals are led by senior midfielder
Thiago Andrade who has 14 goals and 8 assists for 36 points after recording a hat trick on Friday. Sophomore forward
Erick Suarez has 29 points this season on 11 goals and 7 assists.
Queens goalkeeper
Montrell Morgan has a 15-2 record this season with a .75 goals against average.
Andre Carle leads the Trojans with 23 points after scoring 11 goals and notching one assist this season. Four others have 10 or more points on the year.
Bo Haug has an 11-5 record between the pipes for Anderson. He has a 0.95 goals against average.
Anderson has won the SAC Championship Tournament for the past three seasons, while the Royals enter their first championship game in the SAC in history. Queens has not played a conference championship match since the 2007 season in Conference Carolinas.
The match will take place at Manchester Meadows Park in Rock Hill at 1 p.m.
