Royals struggle against Patriots

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 FLORENCE, S.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte softball team traveled today to take on the Patriots of Francis Marion University (17-7). The Royals were unable to get their bats going and dropped both games against the Patriots. 

Queens lost the first game 5-1, and dropped the second game 8-0.  On the day, the Royals were only able to scrap together a total of three hits against the strong pitching of the Patriots' Taylor Luff and Katie Carnes. 

After today's results Queens stands at 8-13 on the year. 

The Royals travel to Florence once again this weekend as they participate in the Francis Marion Tournament this Saturday and Sunday. Queens opens the tournament with a rematch against Francis Marion before taking on Bloomsburg University, Armstrong Atlantic State University, and Fairmont State University.
