CHARLOTTE, N.C.- The NCAA has announced the 2009 softball regional brackets and Queens University of Charlotte(26-24) is set to square off with No. 2 North Georgia College and State University (43-3) in Dalonega, Ga., in the Southeast Region-1 bracket. The game will start at 7:30pm.
The double elimination tournament features the first games Friday, May 8, with the next game taking place on Saturday, May 9, and the championship game on Sunday, May 10.
The four-team tournament at North Georgia will be one of two host sites in the Southeast Region as Lenoir-Rhyne will host four teams as well. The winner of each regional will advance to the NCAA Super Regional May 15-16, with the Super Regional champion advancing to the NCAA Division II College World Series in Salem, Virginia, May 21-25, at the James Moyer Sports Complex.
