DUE WEST, S.C.- Queens University of Charlotte women's lacrosse team posts their second win of the season, as they defeated the Flying Fleet of Erskine College 22-0.
The Royals demonstrated great control over the game, and were very strong on offense as thirteen different Queens players scored. The Game's leading scorers were freshman
Brittany Philip (Painted Post, N.Y., East) and sophmore
Alyssa Hughes (Damascus, Md. , Damascus ) who each had a hat trick.
Other game standouts include junior
Kelley Duffey (New Hope, Minn. , Robinsdale Cooper ) who had four assists and one goal, junior
Amanda Martin (Geneva, N.Y. , Geneva) who had three assists and two goals, freshman
Shannon Casey (Bel Air, Md., John Carroll) who had two assists and two goals, andsenior
Kelly Wrightson (Germantown, Md., Damascus ) who posted two assists and two goals for the night.
The Royals improve to 2-0 for the season, and look forward to their next game against St. Andrews Presbyterian College at the Queens Sports Complex on February 28, 2009.
