RESULTS
JACKSONVILLE, Fla.– The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's track and field programs closed the Atlantic Sun Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships in seventh and eighth place this evening. Queens' men totaled 54 points, while the women recorded 48 points.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- The men's triple jump group secured 12 points for the Royals after Josiah Ford, Mekhi Davis, and Dyson Abrams collected points in the event. Ford earned silver with a mark of 14.67 meters, while Davis earned sixth place with a personal-best mark of 14.30 meters. Abrams was eighth with a mark of 14.0o meters.
- Oliver Cooper raced in the 800-meter run final, earning silver in 1:49.05.
- The men's 4x100 team earned fourth with a season-best time of 42.47 seconds.
- The Queens men also turned in a season-best time of 3:17.689 in the 4x400 for fourth place.
- The women's 4x400 team set a new school record with a time of 3:49.48 in the event.
- Vesna Kljajevic finished third in the javelin with a mark of 35.89 meters, a new personal record.
- Jada Brown collected points for the women, finishing sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 11.91 meters.
- Marissa Kalmorick raced in the 400-meter hurdles final, finishing eighth with a time of 1:06.67.
- Simone Mouras raced in the 1500-meter run final, taking eighth place with a time of 4:41.58.
