Queens Men Maintain Lead; Royals Stack Podium Finishes on Day Two of ASUN Championships

ORLANDO, FLA. — The Queens University of Charlotte swimming and diving teams continued their strong championship performance on Day Two of the ASUN Swimming & Diving Championships. After two days of competition, the Royals' men remain in first place with 515.5 points, while the women sit in third with 494 points heading into the final two days.

MEN'S TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
Queens widened its lead atop the standings with depth and event wins across the finals session.

Men's Team Standings (Through Day Two):

  1. Queens – 515.5
  2. Florida Atlantic – 438.5
  3. Delaware – 370
  4. Old Dominion – 206
  5. Gardner-Webb – 182
  6. Bellarmine – 108
  • Daniel Meszaros finished with a bronze medal in the 200 free (1:36.23).
  • Emil Harlem followed with another championship swim in the 100 butterfly, coming in second in 45.75 and adding to Queens' growing advantage.
  • Relay performances continued to be a difference-maker. The 200 freestyle relay team of Nien Levy, Stamatis Paleocrassas, Daniel Meszaros, and Pablo Ortega Navarro delivered a podium finish in 1:17.22 to secure the gold and an ASUN Championship record.
  • The Royals closed the session with another gold in the 400 medley relay, where Caden Fritz, Callen Bartone, Emil Harlem, and Meszaros touched in 3:07.13.to earn an ASUN record and school record.
  • On the boards, Juan Gonzalez delivered a bronze-medal performance in the 3-meter diving event, adding valuable team points.

WOMEN'S TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
The Royals remain in third place and within striking distance as the meet reaches its midpoint.
