CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Queens women's cross country team earned a strong 5th place finish in a 21-team field at the Queen City Invite on Friday afternoon, totaling 158 points. The men snagged a 10th place finish scoring 256 points in a deep field highlighted by Division I competition such as Wake Forest and Charlotte.

For the women's race, Livia Wespe led the Royals with a 17th-place finish in 17:36.21. Weronika Ptaszynska (36th, 18:19.66) and Kira Ribbink (41st, 18:22.06) packed closely behind, while Simone Mouras (63rd, 18:51.00) and Beatty Grace Hite (71st, 19:00.71) rounded out the scoring five. Rowan Shannon added depth in 90th at 19:25.84.
Queens' top-five effort placed the Royals ahead of programs such as USC Upstate and Wingate, marking a solid early-season showing.

For the men, The Royals were led by Danny Raymond, who crossed 35th overall in 25:32.86. Close behind was Preston Gantt, finishing 37th in 25:33.81. Wesley Wistrom (76th, 26:15.67), Oliver Cooper (86th, 26:31.03), and Noah Boeck (92nd, 26:37.53) rounded out the scoring five.
Queens finished just seven points behind Wingate (249) and ahead of Roanoke (263).
