JACKSONVILLE, FLA. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's cross country teams closed out their 2025 seasons on Friday morning at the ASUN Cross Country Championships, held at Cecil Field in Jacksonville. The Royals turned in strong efforts across both races, as the women's team finished sixth with 214 points and a team time of 1:32:04 in the 5K, while the men's team placed 10th with 270 points and a team time of 2:08:15 in the 8K.
WOMEN'S RACE
The Queens women earned a sixth-place team finish with 214 points, led by Livia Wespe, who continued her standout season with a 21st-place finish in 17:31.7. Simone Mouras followed in 41st with a time of 18:15.0, while Lina Mills-Zacapa came through in 52nd at 18:33.0. Beatty Grace Hite (60th, 18:45.9) and Rowan Shannon (66th, 18:58.3) completed the scoring five for the Royals.
Sarah Bradley (80th, 19:43.3) and Gianna Mars (82nd, 19:47.1) also turned in solid performances to round out the lineup. Lipscomb captured the women's team title with 29 points.

On the men's side, Queens placed 10th with 270 points and a team time of 2:08:15 in the 8K. Jacob Sarto led the way with a 55th-place performance in 25:25.3, followed closely by Noah Boeck (56th, 25:26.0) and Danny Raymond (59th, 25:34.4). Preston Gantt continued his strong campaign with a 64th-place showing in 25:39.2, while Dennis Devine wrapped up the scoring in 81st at 26:10.1.
Wesley Wistrom (83rd, 26:13.7), Oliver Cooper (87th, 26:21.6), and Jonah Ferguson (101st, 27:06.2) rounded out the Royals' finishers. Eastern Kentucky captured the men's championship with 17 points.

"Our women's team had a great performance this morning down in Jacksonville," Head Coach Will Crocker said.
