Six Newcomers Set to Join Queens Women’s Basketball This Season

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – As Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball prepares for its first season as a full NCAA Division I member, head coach Jen Brown has announced the addition of six newcomers set to join the Royals for the 2025-26 campaign.

The incoming class includes four transfers, highlighted by junior college All-American Mia Moore, and two true freshmen, each bringing size, versatility, and competitive pedigree to the Queens women's basketball roster.

"We're incredibly excited about this incoming 2025 group. They're not only outstanding basketball players, but also exceptional students and people of high character," said Brown. "Each of them brings something unique to our program and address a need. We fully expect them to make a meaningful impact both on and off the court from day one."

Mia Moore | Rock Valley College | Guard
Mia Moore, a 5-8 guard from Aurora, Illinois, joins the Royals after a decorated career at Rock Valley College. Moore was named a two-time NJCAA Second Team All-American and is a two-time WBCA Two-Year College All-American. She averaged 20 points, six rebounds, and three assists per game while shooting 31 percent from three-point range. Moore leaves Rock Valley as the program's all-time leader in points (1,214) and steals (180), cementing her legacy as one of the most dynamic and impactful players in school history. Moore also competed on the AAU circuit with Midwest Elite.

As a freshman at Texas Southern, she appeared in 26 games with seven starts, finishing with 48 rebounds, 34 points, and 16 blocks. A dominant defensive presence in high school, Morris earned First Team All-Defense honors and helped lead her team to a championship at Duncanville HS. Morris brings elite size, shot-blocking ability and athleticism to the frontcourt.
