CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Queens University of Charlotte is proud to announce an exclusive local broadcast partnership with WCCB Charlotte and the Queens Royals. Following the successful collaboration in the spring that brought Queens lacrosse to local living rooms across the Queen City, Queens men's and women's basketball games will air on Charlotte flagship station WCCB, during the 2025-26 season.
"Queens University is a prestigious and distinguished institution with 50 majors, 93 minors, and graduate programs," said Beverly Bahakel, President and CEO of Bahakel Communications. Fans will be able to watch six games, three men's and three women's, from the comfort of their living room in December, January, and February. The first men's game will air on Thursday, December 3, and the first women's will air on Wednesday, December 17.
Cherie Swarthout, Director of Athletics at Queens University of Charlotte, said, "We are thrilled to continue our relationship with Bahakel Communications, Ltd. following the success of our spring lacrosse partnership. Working with such a respected Charlotte company will be instrumental in our growth as we enter our first season as a full NCAA Division I member. This winter, Queens basketball will reach more living rooms across our community, expanding our audience and creating new opportunities for corporate sponsorships. Being part of accessible, televised programming builds on the momentum we've generated, and we are grateful to Bahakel Communications for making it possible."
