JACKSONVILLE, FLA. — Abigail Zboran has been named ASUN Co-Swimmer of the Week after her solid performance against Virginia Tech on January 3, the league office announced this afternoon.
Zboran delivered an exceptional performance against Virginia Tech, showcasing her versatility across multiple events. Among the highlights of the meet, she secured a first-place finish in the 200 fly with a time of 2:02.08, dominating the field. In the 500 free, Zboran recorded a personal best of 4:56.36, earning a strong second-place finish. Additionally, the sophomore finished in third in the 200 IM with a time of 2:05.14. Her consistent top-three finishes against high-caliber competition solidified her conference honor.
"Abby [Zboran] brings a lot of energy and fun to our program and her performances reflect that positive energy," Director of Swimming Jeff Dugdale said. "I am excited that she was recognized by the conference for her efforts."
Other ASUN award winners for the week of January 8 include Mia Burke of FGCU. This will be the second Queens female ASUN Swimmer of the Week honor this season, and the fifth for both Queens programs overall in 2024-25.
