CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Queens University of Charlotte softball team were able to snag their first ASUN conference sweep in program history today, taking game three of the series by a score of 4-1 on Sunday, April 14.

GAME 3 - QUEENS 4, LIPSCOMB 1
- The Royals offense made all the difference in the third game of the series as the squad combined for nine hits.
- Kayla Smith, Kasidi Staley and Natalie Windham each went 2-for-3 at the plate, while Brooke Piper went 3-for-4. Smith and Windham each tabbed an RBI.
- Lipscomb was only able to muster up two hits on the afternoon - one from Kaylyn Belfield and one from Alyssa Hastings.
- The Royals began scoring in the third inning, when a Smith single to left center drove in Windham for the first run. Queens would score the rest of their runs in the third inning with a score on a wild pitch, an RBI single from Windham, and a steal home after a failed pickoff attempt.
- Lispcomb's only run would come from an RBI single, but the run would be unearned.
- Autumn Courtney would snag win number 15 in the circle this season. Her strikeout total to date this season now sits at 199.
