Queens Dominates Day Three of Fall Frenzy with Top Finishes and Relay Victories

CHARLOTTE, N.C. Day three of the Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy proved to be another successful outing for the Queens University of Charlotte swimming teams, as several Royals delivered standout performances, securing top-three finishes and setting themselves up for a strong finish in the finale tomorrow. DAY THREE HIGHLIGHTS

  • Maddie Foster continued her remarkable weekend with two impressive swims. She claimed first in the 100 fly with a time of 53.10, and later finished second in the 200 free with 1:48.74. 
  • Abigail Zboran also stood out, claiming second place in the 400 IM with a time of 4:19.61. 
  • In the 100 back, Queens dominated with Maren Patterson finishing first at 55.04 and Haley Ross in third at 55.51.
  • On the men's side, Daniel Meszaros delivered a first-place finish for the Royals, claiming victory in the 200 free with a stellar swim of 1:35.73. In the 400 IM, Matt Shanahan took second with 3:56.54. Conner Wang added another second-place finish in the 100 fly at 46.83.
  • Lastly, in the 100 back, Queens swept two podium spots as Andreas Marz claimed first at 47.88, with Eli Brinkman in third at 48.45.
  • The women's relay squad composed of Maren Patterson, Annika Huber, Maddie Foster, and Libby Livesay captured first place with a time of 1:39.95.
  • The men's relay team featuring Eli Brinkman, Noah Beladi, Conner Wang, and Matej Dusa, also claimed victory in their event with a commanding performance, finishing in 1:27.27.

COMMENTS FROM DIRECTOR OF SWIMMING JEFF DUGDALE
"Both the men and women are feeding off of each other's good swims and there's lots of energy coming from the stands," Dugdale said. "I've been loving how invested each swimmer is into their teammates." 

UP NEXT
Next, the Royals head into the final day of the Fall Frenzy at the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center. Prelims will begin at 9:30 AM and finals will begin at 5:00 PM.
