Queens Dominates the Sprint Scene on Day 2 of the Fall Frenzy

CHARLOTTE, N.C. Day Two of the 2024 Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy hosted by Queens University of Charlotte at the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center finished with both Queens squads atop of the leaderboard with convincing leads. Find the full results here.

DAY TWO HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Queens women's relay team, comprised of Ryley Heck, Maren Patterson, Sabina Kupcova, and Abigail Zboran, clocked an impressive 1:31.22. Their effort earned them first place, outpacing Nova Southeastern by a mere 0.19 seconds.
  • The men's team delivered a powerful performance, with the "A" relay team securing the top spot at 1:18.65 and the "B" relay team clinching second at 1:19.82. 
  • In the 500-yard free, Maddie Foster led the charge with a strong 4:54.19 finish, taking first place. Katherine Bailey added to the score, placing eighth with a 5:02.91.
  • In the women's 200 IM, Reigning record-holder Abigail Zboran topped the event with a 2:00.35, defending her dominance in the event. Teammate Sabina Kupcova secured second with a 2:01.91.
  • In the men's 200 IM event, Senior Noah Beladi placed second in the A-final with a 1:48.65, followed closely by freshman Matheus Przewalla at 1:48.82. The B-final saw Andreas Marz finish strongly at 1:50.61.
  • senior powerhouse Matej Dusa captured the gold in the A-final with a blazing 19.70 seconds in the men's 50 free, while Nien Levy finished right behind him with a time of 19.80.
  • In the women's 50 free, Ryley Heck finished atop of the squad with a 22.65 time.

UP NEXT
Next, the Royals head into Day Three of the Fall Frenzy at the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center. Prelims will begin at 9:30 AM and finals will begin at 5:00 PM.
