NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Queens University of Charlotte Royals now sit 2-2 in ASUN play and 5-10 on the year after falling 3-0 (25-20, 25-19, 25-20) to Lipscomb University (7-8, 4-0) this afternoon on the road.

Today's opening set was a back-and-forth affair with 14 ties. A kill from
Emma Norris would give the Royals their final lead of the set, 17-16, before the Bisons put five straight points on the board to takeover, 21-17. Back-to-back kills from
Kayla McDuffie closed the gap to three, but Lipscomb remained in control ending the set with three straight kills for the 1-0 lead.
The Bisons quickly jumped out to a 4-0 lead to start the second and never relinquished control of the set to lead 2-0 heading into today's final set.

Kaylin Dowling and kills from Queens'
Alleigh Johnson and Karlie McNabb helped the Royals lead early in the third set as they fought to extend the game, but Lipscomb soon rallied back with six unanswered points to build a 10-5 lead. A pair of attack errors by the Bisons closed the margin to three, 10-7, but Lipscomb would follow the mistakes with a 5-1 push to lead 15-8. The Royals answered by stringing together runs to make a final push, pulling within three on a kill from
Alleigh Johnson, who gave the set a 23-20 score. However, Lipscomb's Addi Pelham would close the game on the attack to give her team the 3-0 victory.
