The Short Story: The Queens University of Charlotte women's basketball team dropped their first ASUN matchup to Kennesaw State University 61-42 on Saturday afternoon. 

BY THE NUMBERS

• Nicole Gwynn led the team with 15 points on the day.
• Kinley Brown and Kemia Ward led the team in rebounding with both players grabbing four rebounds. 

NOTABLE MOMENTS

• The Royals went on a 9-2 run early in the third quarter with eight of the points coming from Nicole Gwynn forcing a called timeout by KSU. 
• The end of the third quarter went to the Owls who went on a 9-0 run to close out the period. 

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE

• The Royals scored 18 points off turnovers while the Owls scored 15 points
• Queens continued its offensive struggles on the road as the team is now 0-6 on the road when scoring under 60 points.
