CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Queens University of Charlotte Head Women's Lacrosse Coach
Kelly McQuilkin announced the addition of 12 freshmen to her 2024 season roster.
Coach McQuilkin's first recruiting class - Savannah Donahue, Maya Elwood, Sydney Fraser, Ruby Gilbreth, Kennedy Goddard, Lily Greenwell, Abby Langan, Maddie Lotterman, Molly O'Donnell, Allegra Ryan, Jessica Schelling, and Lola Vandemark - will join the Royals this fall from five different states within the U.S. and from Canada.
"I'm really looking forward to this recruiting class joining our team in August," McQuilkin stated. "This group brings a high level of passion, excitement, athleticism, and talent. They will be a great addition as we head into year two of our Division I transition."
The Royals wrapped their inaugural NCAA Division I season posting a 10-8 record to secure their 10
th straight winning season. In their first year of competition in the ASUN Conference, Queens finished fourth in the regular season standings to advance to their first DI postseason in program history. The Royals defeated Kennesaw State in the quarterfinals to earn their first DI postseason win and advance to the semifinals.
During the season, the Royals received four ASUN Player of the Week accolades. Additionally, Queens saw four Royals earn ASUN All-Conference honors, and three seniors were named to the IWLCA Senior All-Star game.
