CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte women's lacrosse team (9-7, 4-3) wrapped their inaugural Division I regular season over the weekend with a 9-7 overall record. It is the 10
th straight year that the Royals have turned in a winning season as they enter the postseason seeded fourth in the 2023 ASUN Women's Lacrosse Championship.

The Royals are scheduled to face fifth-seeded Kennesaw State in the quarterfinal round on Wednesday, May 3 at 1 p.m. in Jacksonville, Fla. A win would advance the Royals to the semifinal round where they would meet top-ranked Liberty, who received a first-round bye.
Location
The 2023 ASUN Women's Lacrosse Championship will take place at Rock Stadium on the campus of Jacksonville University.
Royals vs. Owls
- The Royals defeated Kennesaw State, 14-8, during the regular season.
- Kayleen Favreau recorded four goals and one assist to lead the Royals' offense. Shannon Kingston recorded a hat trick en route to scoring her 100th career goal. Additionally, Jillian Gironda and Isabella Swanson each chipped in with two goals.
- Grace Guglielmo earned her second ASUN Defensive Player of the Week honor after recording four caused turnovers, three ground balls, and seven draw controls in the game.
- Hanna Davis led the Owls with three goals and two assists. Caroline Farley added two goals.
Royals vs. Flames
- The Royals suffered their first ASUN loss of the season at the hands of Liberty falling 14-5 at home.
- Shannon Kingston led with two goals.
- Cami Merkel led the Flames with four goals while Mackenzie Lehman added five points on three goals and two assists. Olivia Glaze also recorded a hat trick.

- Queens is led by Kayleen Favreau who has 48 points this season on 39 goals and nine assists. Shannon Donovan (29 goals, 9 assists) and Shannon Kingston (28 goals, 7 assists) follow with 38 and 35 points, respectively. On the defensive end, Grace Guglielmo has 55 draw controls and 43 caused turnovers to lead Queens. She has ranked top five in the nation all season in caused turnovers per game.
