JACKSONVILLE, FL– The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's outdoor track and field teams had another great day at the ASUN Outdoor Championships as they made big strides in the competition. The day was led by Melanie Welsing as she won the heptathlon.
 
WHAT HAPPENED?

• Melanie Welsing won the heptathlon with a score 5629, 12 shy of the ASUN record.  Welsing also advance in the 100m hurdles by placing first with a time of 13.63.
• The heptathlon team also finished with four more athletes in the top 10 with Emilija Kusic at fourth place(4995),  Cerys Lee at sixth (4808), Halle Perry (4778) and Mia Milasinovic (4667).
• Martin Knauer finished fifth in the shot put with a best throw of 17.43m.
