CHARLOTTE, NC – The Queens University of Charlotte outdoor track and field teams made some big marks and the Virginia Challenge and at Lenoir Rhyne. The day was filled with new wins and new personal records.
WHAT HAPPENED
•
Melanie Welsing placed first in the hurdles with a personal best and school record 13.27.
•
Christina Palmer won the women's shot put with a personal best 12.82m mark. Palmer also won the discus with a personal best mark of 45.43m.
• Lucy Waliker won the high jump with a mark of 1.70m
•
Heloise Louiset was second in the high jump with a collegiate personal best mark of 1.65m.
•
Martin Knauer won the shot put with a mark of 16.47m. Knauer also placed third in the hammer throw.
•
Amadeus Waluga placed fourth in the hammer throw with a personal best 46.75m.
•
Zak Freeland ran the 10th best 1500m in program history with a time of 3:52.74
• Mitch Cox ran the 1500m with a season best time of 3:45.22.
