RALEIGH, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's outdoor track and field teams ended day two of the Raleigh Relays on a good note as they broke school records and finished higher than some Power 5 programs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Melanie Welsing broke the school record and gained a new personal best in the 100m hurdles as she placed sixth in the event with a time of 13.42.
- Jakob Nutzel finished 20th in the discus event with a best throw of 46.88m.
- Beth Cook finished the 5000m with a time of 17:03.48.
UP NEXT
The Royals will be in Raleigh and Rock Hill Saturday for the final days of the Raleigh Relays and Winthrop Invitational.
