THE SHORT STORY: After sweeping the doubles point, the Queens University of Charlotte women's tennis team used four strong singles performances to defeat Hampton University on Wednesday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Royals claimed the doubles point with victories on all three courts.
Katsiaryna Tuliakova and
Hanna Axelsson remained undefeated as a pair with a 6-3 win on No. 1.
Jill Morse and
Amelie Allard picked up their first victory together with a convincing 6-0 sweep at No. 2. At No. 3,
Kelsey Sinclaire and
Nyanyuie Grace Tomegah picked up a 6-4 win to complete the doubles sweep.

Jill Morse kicked off the singles victories with a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 2. The victory improved the junior's record to 5-3 from the second court this season.
-At No. 6,
Nyanyuie Grace Tomegah won 6-3, 6-3 to bring the Royals within a point of clinching.

Amelie Allard would clinch the afternoon with a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 4 and improve to 5-4 from that court.

Katsiaryna Tuliakova earned a hard-fought three-set victory from the top court 3-6, 7-6(5), 10-7.
NEXT UP
Queens will return to the court on Friday, March 17
th when they welcome Austin Peay State University at 10:00 a.m. The match will be the Royals first ASUN match of the season and it will be played at the Howard Levine Tennis Center at the Queens Sports Complex. Admission is free to the public.
