THE SHORT STORY:
Queens University of Charlotte women's tennis team closed its home slate on Thursday afternoon during a Senior Day matchup against the Aggies, celebrating
Zoe Cvitanovic and
Jett Coetzee. To open doubles action, both
Lucy Hogan and
Zoe Cvitanovic demolished in a 6-0 victory before the Aggies capitalized at No.2 and No.3 doubles to secure the first point. In singles play, Queens continued to battle across the lineup before falling 7-0 at the Howard Levine Tennis Center.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

Lucy Hogan and
Zoe Cvitanovic secured a 6-0 victory, but the Aggies claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.

Lucy Hogan continued to fight into singles play, taking her opponent to a third set tie-breaker but fell short of four points.

Mathilde Bris put up a strong effort in singles play. Bris was winning 5-4 late in the first set but fell short, 7-5, and her opponent capitalized through the rest of the match.
- Senior
Jett Coetzee was collapsing in her match as she trailed 6-2 in the first but made a special effort in taking her opponent to a second set tie-break but was shy of two points.
