THE SHORT STORY:
Queens University of Charlotte women's tennis team hit the road for an afternoon matchup against UNC Asheville but fell after dropping the doubles point and only winning one singles match. The Royals escaped the doubles sweep behind a strong performance from Rachel Byrne and Mathilde Bris which played No. 3 doubles, despite the team trailing 1-0 in doubles action. In singles action, Queens continued to compete across the lineup as Mathilde Bris continued on her strong day as she won her singles match and she went 2-for-2 on the day. The Bulldogs pulled ahead in the remaining matches to clinch the match. Zoe Cvitanovic won the first set at No. 2 singles, while Jett Coetzee continued to battle before both of their matches were halted due to the Bulldogs clinching the match.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- At No. 3 doubles, Mathilde Bris and Rachel Byrne secured a 6-3 victory, but the Bulldogs claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles.
- Mathilde Bris continued her strong day in singles action, earning a straight set victory at No. 3 singles to finish 2-for-2 on the day.
- Rachel Byrne competed well at No. 5 singles, but fell 6-4, 6-1.
- Zoe Cvitanovic captured the opening set in her singles match at No. 2 singles, before the match was halted after the Bulldogs clinched the team victory.
 - Maria Alvarez clinched the match for the Bulldogs at No. 5 singles.
