Kenny Dye Lands NABC First Team All-District Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Queens University of Charlotte men's basketball standout Kenny Dye has been named to the NABC District 3 First Team list, as announced by the league on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Dye wrapped up his career with a remarkable inaugural Division 1 season. The senior etched his name in the record books as the program's leader in games played (156), games started (148), points (1,897), and assists (675). The Jacksonville, North Carolina native poured in a career-high and single-game record 34 points at Jacksonville State on February 16th this season. The career night helped Dye surpass Reginald Hopkins' scoring record which held since 2011.
 
Dye received praise from around the ASUN as he landed Second Team All-Conference honors on February 27th. For the season, Dye averaged a team-high 16.9 points per game and 4.8 assists per game. Both marks were top three in the league.
 
For his career, Dye was a three-time All-Conference, a two-time NABC DII Southeast All-District, and a one-time D2CCA All-Region recipient. Dye guided the Royals to a pair of conference regular season titles and four NCAA Division 2 tournament appearances.
