Box Score CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte women's lacrosse team (0-3) gave the Pirates a run this afternoon falling 11-9 to East Carolina (4-1) in the closing minutes of regulation.
How it Happened
After knotting today's very evenly-matched game at 9-9 with 7:32 to play, the Royals would lose in the final minutes of regulation as the Pirates were able to capitalize on a pair of turnovers by Queens. ECU would score two goals in the final 2:52 of action to steal the game.

- Stephanie Joyce totaled her first two goals of the season this afternoon.
- Shannon Donovan, Elise Grissett, and Kayleen Favreau also added two goals apiece for Queens.
- Super senior Grace Guglielmo notched a game-leading seven draw controls and surpassed the century mark in the category this afternoon. She also finished with four caused turnovers.
- Caroline Kraemer and Sharn Muffett split time in goal for Queens to combine for four saves.
- Brynn Knight took the win in goal for ECU after recording 11 saves.
- ECU's Frances Kimel led all on the field with four goals.
- Queens outshot ECU, 28-22, putting 20 shots on goal compared to the Pirates' 15 shots on goal.
