WINSTON SALEM, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's indoor track and field teams raced in the JDL DMR Invitational Saturday to prepare for the ASUN Championships next week. The Royals had multiple top-five finishes in the meet to close out the indoor regular season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Stefan Jungmichel finished 3rd in the 60m Hurdle Finals with a time of 8.46.
- Evie Wild finished 4th in the 800m with a time of 2:19.44.
- Jiri Brychta finished 12th in the 800m with a time of 2.00.91.
- Mark Schittenhelm finished 8th in the 200m with a time of 23.37.
- Sarah Watts finished 15th in the 1 Mile with a time of 5:13:88.
- Dionysius Rolle placed 13th in the Long Jump and jumped 5.63m. Rolle also debuted 5th in the Triple Jump with an 11.96m jump.
- Natalia Rodriguez placed 3rd in the High Jump with a 1.45m jump.

"This weekend was an extra opportunity for a handful of our athletes to get a final opportunity to complete their indoor season or to tune up for the ASUN meet.
Evie Wild led the women with a 3-second converted improvement in the 800m. She is moving in the right direction heading to ASUN.
Dionysius Rolle debuted in the triple jump and is now ranked 7th in the ASUN. Looking forward to our first ASUN Track & Field Championship experience next week. It will be a great competitive opportunity for our athletes."

The Royals will begin preparing for their first D1 conference championship as they will travel to Lynchburg, VA for the ASUN Indoor Track and Field Championships on February 24
th and 25
th.
