Melanie Welsing moves to the finals after season best hurdle performance in the Darius Dixon Invite

LYNCHBURG, VA.– The Queens University of Charlotte men's and women's indoor track and field team had their most competitive indoor meet yet as they competed in the 9th Annual Darius Dixon Memorial Invite at Liberty University.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Mitch Cox posted a personal record in the Men's 3K with a time of 8:15.54, which is the 7th best all-time.
  • Tom Heal had a 10-second improvement in the 3K with a time of 8:35.96
  • Sarah Watts posted a 13-second improvement in the 3K with a time of 10:11;64. This time is the 9th best in school history
  • Melanie Welsing had a season-best 8.55 in the Hurdle Prelims. She's qualified for tomorrow's final and could break her school record.
  • Jakob Nutzel placed 10th in the weight throw mark
