th. The Royals' second season in Division 1 begins with a top-15 SEC opponent as they head west to face #12 The University of Mississippi Rebels.

THE MATCHUP
This match will be the first meeting of the two teams with the Rebels coming off a successful season where the team made it to the Sweet 16. Monday's match will be the first SEC matchup for the Royals as well as the first top-15 team to face off against.
QUEENS STATS TO KNOW
- The Royals come into the 2023-24 season with a new look featuring seven new faces including Nicole Gwynn, Tameia Shaw, Mycala Carney, Autumn Westmoreland, Tiziana Huici, Kaitlyn Adams, Trinity Butler.
- One of the top returners for the Royals is Jordyn Weaver who was named ASUN Conference All-Freshman after the 2022-23 season. Weaver led the team in rebounds per game with 6.8. She was also second on the team in blocks with 10 and snagged 29 steals.
- Adia Brisker is also a top returner for the team. The senior led the team in scoring with 12.2 per game, had 4.9 rebounds per game, and 17 double-digit point performances during the course of the season, including five games with 21+ points.
- The Royals averaged 59 points and 34 rebounds per game last season.
SCOUTING THE REBELS
- Ole Miss opens up the 2023-24 season following an impressive 25-9 record last season, including a 11-5 mark in league play.
- The Rebels use their home court to their advantage as they posted a 14-2 mark last season and a 8-0 mark against non-conference opponents inside The Pavilion.
- The Rebels will look to replace top players Angel Baker and Myah Taylor who were named First-Team All-SEC. Baker led the team in points with 503 points and 14.8 points per game.
- The newcomers to the team are transfers KK Deans (Florida), Kennedy Todd-Williams (North Carolina, Kharyssa Richardson (Auburn).
- Last season, Ole Miss averaged 68.6 points, 41.8 rebounds, and 12.4 free throws per game.

Following the season opener, the Royals will remain on the road as they head south to face the reigning National Champions, the LSU Tigers. Tip-off is set for 8:00 pm ET on Thursday, November 9
