CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Queens wrapped up the final day of the 2023 Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy on Sunday at the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center.

The Queens women cruised through the final day taking home a win with a final tally of 1,591.5 points while the men topped off their weekend with a winning 2,235 points.

"The leadership of the upperclassmen paved the way for our freshmen to break barriers," Associate Head Coach Nic Eriksson said. "With all the A and B relays placing in the top 5 shows the depth of our speed and what is in store for our conference meet. Moreover, I loved the energy from the bleachers always taking the team to the next level."
THE RECORD-BREAKING ROYALS
The Queens program took home nine Fall Frenzy meet records over the weekend. The six individual records came from solid performances at the hands of Abigail Zboran (200 IM, 1:59.42), Danielle Melilli (100 Breast, 1:00.57, 50 Free, 22.26, 100 Free, 48.43), Maddie Foster (100 Fly, 52.93), and Annika Huber (200 Breast, 2:12.91).
Three meet records came from show-stopping relays throughout the weekend. On the first night, the quartet of Melilli, Ryley Heck, Libby Livesay, and Maren Patterson swam a 1:30.70 in the Women's 200 Free Relay event. Capping off the weekend, the Royals went back-to-back in meet records with the women (Melilli, Foster, Zboran, Heck) finishing with a 3:17.80 and the men (Matej Dusa, Daniel Meszaros, Balazs Berecz, Nien Levy) taking first with a 2:54.67 in the 400 Free Relays.
Additionally, the 3:17.80 finish from the women in the 400 Free Relay marked a Queens program record, passing up a previous record time of 3:18.04 from McKenzie Stevens, Kyrie Dobson, Wanda Dollmayer, and Shelly Prayson (March 17, 2018) and Polina Lapshina, Josephina Lorda-Taylor, Dollmayer, and Prayson (March 16, 2019). The time sits as a current top-25 time in Division I and is the top swim time to date in all Division I mid-major colleges.
The records didn't stop there, though — Melilli 48.43 finish in the Women's 100 Free marked an all-time ASUN conference record, defeating a previous best time of 48.59 from FGCU's Emma Svensson.
