CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Queens men's & women's swimming & diving team finished up Day Two of the three-day 2023 Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy on Saturday at the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center.

Queens finished up the day racking up multiple ASUN records and meet records — The Queens women currently sit in first place with 1128.5 points after day two. Following Queens is Nova Southeastern with 824.5.
For the men, the Royals sit with a solid display of 1532 points, while Wingate sits next with 983 points.

"Hard to ask for a better day 2 of Fall Frenzy," Senior Associate Head Coach Jon Lau said. "We challenged our team to take it to the next level and they delivered in a huge way!"
PRELIM NOTES
- Maddie Foster kicked off the second day with a 53.75 time in the Women's 100 Yard Fly, dropping 1.87 from her entry time. Abigail Zboran, who scattered the leaderboard later on in the meet, finished right behind her with a 54.49.
- For the Men's 100 Yard Fly event, Conner Wang made a splash with a 48.00 time (a season-best).
- Matthew Shanahan snagged an impressive career-best in the 400 Yard IM event with a 3:54.56.
- The Men's 200 Yard Free event saw Daniel Meszaros take home a first-place finish with a time of 1:37.31.
FINALS NOTES
- In the nightcap, Queens took home gold and bronze in the 200 Yard Medley Relay as swimmers Maren Patterson, Annika Huber, Maddie Foster, and Ryley Heck swam a time of 1:39.69 and Bianca Wettel, Libby Livesay, Kayla Schmelzer, and Daryna Maznytska finished with a 1:42.50.
- The men went back-to-back with a first-place finish of 1:27.24 (Caden Fritz, Balazs Berecz, Conner Wang, Matej Dusa) and a second-place finish with 1:27.76 (Andreas Marz, Noah Beladi, Yannick Plasil, Nien Levy).
- Soon after, Foster and Zboran took home first and second in the Women's 100 Yard Fly - with Foster smashing the meet record with a time of 52.93. The previous meet record was claimed by Polina Lapshina of Queens on Nov. 17, 2018. Zboran came close behind with a time of 54.27.
- Wang kicked it into high gear in the Men's 100 Yard Fly, taking home a 47.54 time, a career-best.
- Shanahan took home another victory in the 400 Yard IM in the finals with a 3:55.03. Plasil ended in third place with a 3:55.97 in the event.
- Per usual, Zboran snagged another spot on the podium. This time - in the Women's 200 Yard Free with a third-place time of 1:49.09 (a career-best time).
- In the same event for the men, Meszaros found himself in the top spot with a 1:35.26 time.
- Danielle Melilli displayed her dominance once again in the Women's 100 Yard Breast event with a time of 1:00.57. The time beats a previous meet record by Mikaela Fullerton of UNC Asheville on Nov. 20, 2021. Huber followed extremely close behind with a time of 1:00.86.
- Patterson took home the silver in the Women's 100 Yard Back with a time of 54.86, a career-best for the rookie.
- Marz and Plasil finished in the two and three spot in the Men's 100 Yard Backstroke, with times of 48.77 and 49.89.
- In the 800 Yard Free Relay, Queens (Foster, Zboran, Sophia Lange, and Melilli) drove home the win with a meet record time of 7:14.31. The record was previously held by Nova Southeastern (7:19.62) on Nov. 19, 2022.
