JACKSONVILLE, FLA. — The Royals head to the Sunshine State for ASUN road tests against Jacksonville on Friday at 7:00 PM and against North Florida on Saturday at 6:00 PM. Queens comes off a hotly-contested matchup against the Stetson Hatters, falling 3-2 (14-25, 18-25, 25-21, 28-26, 15-11)
LAST TIME OUT...
- The Royals held the Stetson Hatters on the ropes in a five-set thriller in the Levine Center this weekend. Action kicked up a notch in the third set — Victoria Wood drove home back-to-back kills, Jordyn Johnson sank a service ace, and a double block from Anna Law and Wood would give the Royals a 4-0 lead. Buish was placing her sets in all the right places, giving room for her hitters to catch the Hatters off their feet. Stetson would never find a lead in the set, giving Queens a 25-21 victory. Similar heroics from Wood, Kayla McDuffie, J. Johnson and Alleigh Johnson would give the Royals a hard-fought 28-26 win in the fourth set; but Stetson would find enough momentum to take the last two sets to take the overall triumph.
- As a team, the Royals marked season highs in kills (65), assists (59), and points (74.0).
