From Coach Krolick
"On the women's side, we repeated our performance from last year with another sixth-place finish but a different top five runners who scored from one year ago who will return next year. We did this without four of our top girls who have ran with us throughout the year Definitely a big race for
Sarah Watts last year as she improved about 25 spots from last year to help Queens score,
Emilie Noyer has come a long way in three weeks after three years being injured and not racing to jump in to cross country and run as our number five really sealed the deal for us to be able to secure a repeated six place performance There was also strong races for
Anna Janke and
Chloe Widmann to wrap up their cross country careers. Overall, I'm proud of the way these girls have handled adversity and as a team and individually.
On the men's side, last year we were eighth and this year we had big improvements from last year as Tom Heal was 62
nd.
Ethan Davis was 82nd and
Zak Freeland was 97
th. Those three finished 29th 37th and 54
th this year. Victor was on the all-freshman team has had a very consistent first year and
Frank McGrath had his best race of the season and looked like the runner we knew he could be. This is a very young team with two sophomores and two freshmen in our top four. The future is very bright for this group."
