Women's Tennis Remains Perfect With Victory Over North Carolina A&T

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Queens University of Charlotte women's tennis team won its fourth straight match to open the 2021 spring season, defeating NCAA Division I North Carolina A&T by a 6-1 score on Friday afternoon at the Howard Levine Tennis Center.
 
Queens won all three doubles contests, including a 6-1 triumph at No. 3 by the tandem of Grace Forbes/Katya Khramtsova. The duos of Sasha Davidzenka/Yana Fleyer and Caity Klaassen/Viktorija Veselinova were winners at Nos. 1 and 2, respectively.
 
Fleyer opened singles player with a 6-1, 6-0 win in the second flight, followed by a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 3 by Davidzenka. A 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 4 by Klaassen put the match away before Kate Halickman earned a6-0, 6-0 sweep in the sixth flight. Forbes was a 6-2, 6-4 winner at No. 5, while the Aggies lone point came via a three-game win in the top flight.
 
Queens returns to South Atlantic Conference play tomorrow when the teams hosts Mars Hill University at 1 p.m. in Charlotte.
