CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The No. 19 Queens University of Charlotte women's tennis team rebounded from a midweek loss to collect a 7-0 win over Anderson University on Sunday afternoon in South Atlantic Conference action from the Howard Levine Tennis Center.
With the first point of the day on the line in doubles action, the duo of

Viktorija Veselinova clinched the point with a come-from-behind 6-3 win at No. 2. The all-american tandem of
Sasha Davidzenka/
Yana Fleyer also won their doubles match 6-0 in the top flight.
In singles play, Veselinova won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2 followed by a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 1 by Fleyer. Klaassen sealed the win for Queens with a 6-4, 6-1 win in the fourth flight, while Davidzenka collected a 6-4, 6-2 victory at No. 3.
Grace Forbes (1-6, 6-2, 10-8) and
Kate Halickman (7-5, 6-4) finished off the sweep with wins at Nos. 5 and 6, respectively.
"I thought the women did a great job out there today," said Head Tennis Coach
Billy Boykin. "They made some really big plays when it mattered most. We were focused and we competed well."
Queens returns to the road for its next match against Catawba College on Wednesday, March 17 at 2 p.m. in Salisbury, N.C.
