Box Score 2 Charlotte, NC - The Queens University of Charlotte softball team (14-15; 0-4 SAC) dropped both games of its doubleheader to twenty-first ranked Lenoir-Rhyne (20-4; 2-0 SAC) with both games decided in five innings.
Game One: Lenoir-Rhyne 8 Queens 0
Lenoir-Rhyne lived by the long ball hitting four home runs accounting for all eight runs. Queens was limited to two hits and held off the scoreboard suffering a shutout defeat in five innings by way of the mercy rule. Senior starting pitcher

Game Two: Lenoir-Rhyne 9 Queens 0
The second game resembled the first with the Bears hitting three homers accounting for six of their nine runs. Three Royals defensive errors resulted in four unearned runs and dug Queens in a steep hole. Queens managed just three total baserunners as Lenoir-Rhyne starting pitcher, Morgan Beeler pitched a five-inning complete game no-hitter.
Queens looks to bounce back Saturday in Greenville, Tenn. when they take on Tusculum at 1 p.m.
