ANDERSON, S.C. – The No. 19 Queens University of Charlotte women's tennis team cruised to a 5-2 win over Anderson University on Wednesday in South Atlantic Conference action.
The 17
th-ranked doubles tandem of
Sasha Davidzenka and
Yana Fleyer won 6-2 in the top doubles match, followed by a 6-3 win by the tandem of
Grace Forbes and
Caity Klaassen for an early 1-0 lead in the contest.
Singles play saw Davidzenka, Fleyer, and Forbes each win their respectibe matches, while sophomore Viketorija Veselinova was a 6-3, 6-1 winner at No. 4 to seal the victory for the Royals.
The Royals have a few weeks away from competition before taking court against Lincoln Memorial University on Saturday, March 14 at the Howard Levine Tennis Center.
