CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The 20^th-ranked and third-seeded Queens University of Charlotte women's tennis team fought for a 4-1 win over sixth-seeded Lincoln Memorial University in the South Atlantic Conference Quarterfinals on Wednesday morning at the Howard Levine Tennis Center.
 
The 10^th-ranked doubles tandem of Sasha Davidzenka and Yana Fleyer continued their dominance with a 6-1 in the first flight before LMU claimed a victory of their own in the third flight. The duo of Isabel Fornies and Viktroija Veselinova responded with a 6-3 win at No. 3 to give Queens the first point of the day.
 
Singles play opened with a 6-2, 6-2 win by Veselinova at No. 4, followed by a 6-2, 6-4 triumph from senior Hannah Lehfeldt in the No. 6 position. After the Railsplitters gained a point with a singles win, Fleyer, the No. 67 singles player in the nation, clinched the match decision with a 6-7 (5-7), 6-2, 6-0 win in the top flight.
 
Queens advances to take on nationally-ranked Wingate University in the semifinals on Thursday, April 18 in Rock Hill, S.C. at 1 p.m.
