RESULTS
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The top-ranked Queens University of Charlotte men's team collected 12 event wins in a dual meet victory over perennial NCAA Division III Emory University on Saturday morning at the Levine Aquatic Center.
Queens opened the meet with a win in the 200-Yard Medley Relay from the foursome of
Finn Howard,
Jan Delkeskamp,
Ruben Stam, and
Brody Heck. The 200-Yard Freestyle Relay team of
Skyler Cook-Weeks, Stam,
Marcus Rogers and
Alex Kunert ended the meet with a victory for the Royals.
Kunert was a three-time individual winner in the meet, taking the top spot in the 100-Yard Butterfly, 200-Yard Butterfly, and 200-Yard Freestyle. His time of 1:39.50 in the 200-Yard Freestyle qualified for an NCAA Division II 'B' Standard.
Delkeskamp also won three events for Queens, claiming first place in both the 100- and 200-Yard Breaststroke as well as the 200-Yard I.M. Junior
Hendrik Faber put his distance prowess on display winning both the 500- and 1,000-Yard Freestyle races with a 'B' cut time in each event.
Howard (100-Yard Backstroke) and Cook-Weeks (100-Yard Freestyle) were the other two individual Royals with a win.
Queens returns to the pool next weekend when the team travels to take on No. 20 Wingate University in Wingate, N.C. on Friday, Oct. 25, at 5 p.m.
