CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Queens University of Charlotte women's tennis team defeated Lincoln Memorial University in another South Atlantic Conference matchup, winning 7-2 at the Queens Sports Complex.

The Royals won two out of the three matchups in doubles play with the No. 21 ranked freshman duo of Yana Fleyer and Sasha Davidzenka winning their matchup 8-1 in the top spot. The tandem of sophomore Isabel Fornies and senior Carlotta Nassi also won their matchup in doubles play by an 8-4 score.

In singles play, Fleyer was a 6-3, 6-1 winner in the No. 2 position, while senior Caroline Nielsen won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4. Davidzenka tallied a point at No. 3 with a 6-0, 6-3 victory, as Fornies also won in two sets by a 6-3, 6-2 score at No. 6.

At No. 1, Nassi won her matchup in two sets, 7-5, 6-2, defeating the nation's No. 35 singles player Marta Pinol to improve to 6-0 on the season.

The Royals will travel to Anderson, S.C. next to take on Anderson University tomorrow. Play is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
